We’re always in need of dedicated volunteers who can support us in numerous ways. Whether you’re interested in digital marketing, organizing charity events, designing social media, helping with fundraising, transporting dogs within the Netherlands and EU, or promoting our cause, there’s a place for you with BARS. Current Volunteer Roles

1. Adoption & Foster Coordinator
Responsibilities:

• Identify and engage potential foster families and adopters.
• Oversee the adoption and fostering process, including screenings.
• Build and maintain a database of suitable families.
• Communicate with foster families to ensure the well-being of our animals.
• Coordinate home checks and follow-ups.

Skills Needed: Strong communication and organization skills, a passion for animal welfare, and an understanding of the needs of rescue animals.

2. Fundraising & Grant Coordinator
Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute fundraising campaigns.
• Build and manage relationships with potential donors and corporate sponsors.
• Research and apply for grants to secure additional funding.
• Create long-term donor engagement strategies.

Skills Needed: Experience in fundraising, grant writing, and excellent networking and relationship-building skills.

3. Digital Marketing Specialist
Responsibilities:

• Manage Google Ads, SEO, and email marketing campaigns.
• Track analytics for website and social media to optimize our outreach.
• Develop digital strategies to drive donations and increase awareness.

Skills Needed: Proficiency in digital marketing, strong analytical skills, and the ability to monitor and refine campaigns.

4. Social Media Manager
Responsibilities:

• Oversee BARS’ social media presence across platforms like Instagram and Facebook.
• Create and schedule engaging posts, sharing updates and stories of rescued animals.
• Respond to messages and interact with followers to build community.
• Keep the website updated with blogs, adoption stories, and campaign updates.

Skills Needed: Social media expertise, creativity, excellent communication skills, and experience with website platforms like WordPress.
